A Pen In Each Hand

  1. “Sometimes my life seems to be a never-ending succession of unhappy women.”
  2. Use in a story/poem: scarlet, voice, mark.
  3. Get unstuck: end the scene you’re in and move the action somewhere new.
  4. Scene starter: A nearly empty can of aerosol hairspray on a windowsill.
  5. Base a story around a cliche, then prove it wrong.
  6. Your MC is wearing a color another character loathes.
  7. Do the Sunday Brunch prompts and post your exercises
    1. Use the following words: grabbed, maple, ravine, little, wonder.
    2. Write about a gift.

  20. Finding a tube of toothpaste sends a character into a fit of laughter.
