September 11, 2007 | "Best of the Web" Nominations
Beginning in 2008, Dzanc Books will publish a Best of the Web anthology each spring. "This print anthology will be the first serious attempt to represent in book form the best literary writing online magazines have to offer."
Toasted Cheese's nominations for the Best of the Web 2007 anthology (for fiction, non-fiction, and poetry published in 2007) are:

September 03, 2007 | Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah! Grrrr!
Three Cheers and a Tiger is a short story contest with a twist: all entries must be composed within the 48-hour contest time frame. This year the fall Three Cheers and a Tiger contest will run September 21 - 23, so clear your calendars now and prepare yourself for a weekend of writing!
The fall 2007 contest will open at 5PM Eastern Time on Friday, September 21 with details posted at Just the Place for a Snark, and will close Sunday, September 23 at 5PM ET.
The fall rendition of 3 Cheers is a science fiction / fantasy contest and is judged by Boots and Ana George.
